Man charged for gun found on Tuesday night

By BBN Staff:Roy Davis of Jane Usher Boulevard in Belize City has been charged in connection with a firearm police recovered on Tuesday night.

According to a police report, at around 11 p.m. that night a police mobile was in the Pitta Street area behind Gwen Liz High School when officers saw a man with what appeared to be a hand gun.

Police immediately set chase after him and during the chase he allegedly threw the gun on top of the roof of a house.

Police later retrieved the gun, a .9mm pistol with 6 live rounds.

Davis has since been remanded to the Hattieville prison.
