Baby mysteriously dies

By BBN Staff: A mother from Seine Bight village reported to Placencia police that her infant child mysteriously died on Saturday night.

Marylee Martha Gomez, 21, told police that on Saturday, between of 8:00 and 8:30 p.m. while at home she fed her baby Marley Blast; one year, three months old; wheat and honey cerelac. She put the baby to sleep and at around 6 a.m. on Sunday she woke she saw that the baby was still asleep and decided to wake her.

Gomez then noticed that the baby wasn’t responding, was motionless and appeared to be dead.

No visible sign of injuries was observed on the body except blood coming from the nose.

The body was transported to the Southern Regional Hospital where the child was pronounced dead.
