Police take pen gun off Belize City streets

By BBN Staff: Police have retrieved a loaded pen gun from the streets of Belize City in a territory claimed by a major north side gang.

 
According to police reports, at about 11:30 p.m. on Saturday while on patrol on North Front Street police observed two suspicious men exit a restaurant and upon seeing the police they immediately returned back into the establishment.

Police then followed them into the establishment and observed one of the men bending down in a corner.

Police proceeded to the area and found a pen gun loaded with one gold bullet.

Further investigations revealed the name of the man near the loaded pen gun was Leroy Bardalez, 18.

He has since been arrested and charged with “kept firearm without gun license and kept ammunition without license”.
