By BBN Staff: If you’ve considered going on an extended vacation during the Christmas or Easter break, then you might want to re-consider.
The Ministry of Education and school managers for pre, primary and secondary schools have decided to add six additional days to the school calendar.
Students will now spend January 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th inside classrooms instead of feasting on left over ham and turkey.
Students will also spend April 10th and 11th in classrooms instead of bathing in the hot sun normally experienced during the Easter Break.
Teachers who did not engage in the eleven days of protest organized by the BNTU will get additional pay for these days while teachers who did protest will only be compensated for these six days and not the eleven spent on strike.
