Queen Street police receive new training room

By BBN Staff: The United States Embassy in Belize and the Belize Police Department partnered to enable the opening of the Queen Street Police Station’s training room in Belize City today.

The U.S. Department of State: Bureau of International Narcotics & Law Enforcement (INL) provided $30,000 worth of refurbishment materials, electronic equipment and furniture.

The training room supports the Central American Regional Security Initiative (CARSI) projects such as CompStat, Field Training Officer Program, Gang Resistance Education and Training (GREAT) Program, and Community Policing efforts.

Bob Gibson, the coordinator at the U.S. Department of State ( INL) represented the Embassy and delivered the remarks at the event today.
