Two chopping victims lucky to be alive

By BBN Staff: Two men from the village of Big Falls in the Toledo District are alive after a machete fight ensued on Wednesday night in Punta Gorda.

They are both currently receiving medical treatment.

According to reports, Marciano Pau was chopped to his hand/arm and is currently at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital. His hand was almost completely severed, BBN was informed.

Roni Chee received chops to various parts of his body and is listed in a critical condition at the PG hospital.

Police have not yet clarified if the men chopped each other or if they were attacked by someone else.

However, both men were reportedly consuming alcohol prior to the incident.

Police investigations continue.
