Three shootings, 3 injured last night

By BBN Staff:  Last night Belize City resembled a war zone as three separate shooting incidents were recorded on its south-side.

According to ACP Chester Williams, a girl was grazed by a bullet to her cheek, while another woman and man were both shot to the foot.

“We are currently following these investigations and are asking the assistance of anyone who may have information about these incidents to kindly contact us at 911 or 0-800-922-TIPS,” Williams urged.

While investigations into those shootings have not netted any arrests, one man was arrested and charged last night after he was busted with a loaded 9mm pistol on Freedom Street in the Jane Usher area of Belize City.

“As a department we are methodically and intelligently investigating these incidents with a view to put these gun cowards in prison where they belong,” Williams added.
