By BBN Staff: A farmer from southern Belize lost his house to a fire last week.
According to reports, Jose Bajarano, 64, a Salvadorian farmer of San Juan village, Stann Creek left his house (20 X 15 feet elevated 6 feet off the ground with zinc roofing) on November 15, 2016 on a farm situated in a reserve location in Trio Village, Toledo and when he returned on Friday, November 18, 2016, about 9 am, he encountered his house completely destroyed by fire.
Also destroyed by the fire were assorted clothing, tools, and agricultural and household equipment valued at over $4000.
The house had no electricity and was not insured.
Police are investigating.
