Mayor of Twin Towns joins fight against crime

By BBN Staff: Today, Mayor of San Ignacio and Santa Elena, Earl Trapp met with members of the Cayo Special Constables Committee to discuss ways of working together to prevent crime.

At today’s meeting, the parties involved discussed ways for the Special Constables and the town council to maintain close communication especially when dealing with traffic related offenses in the twin towns.

Chairman of the Special Constables committee, Alberto Palma extended an invitation to the Mayor for the launch of a new motorcycle patrol initiative, which will be held this Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at the San Ignacio Police station.

Trapp pledged to work together with the Special Constables Committee and to support the fight against crime.  He said the council will do its part in relation to traffic related offenses.
