Taylor’s Alley man killed near home

By BBN Staff: Yesterday afternoon around 1:35 p.m., Belize City police responded to a shooting incident in the vicinity of Cemetery Road and West Street Belize City and consequently visited the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where officers saw 26-year-old Emmerson Skyers of a Taylors Alley Address. He was shot multiple times to the body.

He was later pronounced dead.

Initial investigations reveal that around 1:30 p.m., Skyers was in front a grocery shop at the corner of Orange and West Streets when a white car approached and several shots were fired from within causing his fatal injuries.

Police have since detained four men pending investigations.
