PM announces new House speaker

By BBN Staff: Prime Minister Dean Barrow, at a press conference currently being held at the NEMO office in Belmopan, announced his latest Cabinet reshuffling, his third in just over a year of his third term.

At the press conference, Barrow announced that House speaker Michael Peyreffitte will be replaced by Laura Longsworth.

According to Barrow, Longsworth is a non-partisan citizen. She holds a masters degree in nursing and has served as head of the Cancer Society and chair of the AIDS Commission.
Barrow announced that her name will be proposed at the next House Sitting
