Traffic accident on George Price Highway claims one life

By BBN Staff: Last night around 7:00 there was a fatal road traffic accident on George Price Highway between miles 40 and 41.

The body of David Alfaro of Belmopan City was seen lying on the road at the scene of the accident.

He was found with multiple head and body injuries. He died on the spot.

Police investigations reveal that Tedford Pate of San Ignacio town was driving his white 2014 Isuzu D max from an east to west direction when he collided into Alfaro, who was pushing a bicycle in the same direction on the road.

Pate has been served with a notice of intended prosecution.
