By BBN Staff: An article posted on CBN-TV.com entitled “Canada Opens Its Borders to Belizean Visitors” is reporting that Canada has lifted the visa requirements for Belizeans.

The article is untrue and false and CBN-TV is reportedly a fake news site.

This afternoon, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belize posted on their Facebook page the following message:

“Belizeans please be advised that there is no truth in this article. Canada has not lifted visa requirements for Belizeans.”

The article has been shared over 2000 times on Facebook.
