American tourist dies in Cayo

By BBN Staff: Reports reaching our newsroom indicate that an American female tourist from Mississippi, USA died at a popular cave tubing site in the Cayo District.

According to reports, the woman arrived on a cruise ship on Wednesday and was at the cave tubing site when she slipped and had a terrible fall.

She reportedly died due to a head injury as a result of the fall, however, police reports are that her death was due to a heart attack.

So far, neither the police department or BTB have issued an official report about the death of this tourist.
