“THE LORD GIVETH AND THE LORD TAKETH AWAY”
It is with profound sadness that the Government of Belize and the Belize Fisheries Department announces the passing of our colleague and dear friend, Mr. Isaias Nataniel Majil, Fisheries Officer which occurred on Tuesday, January 17, 2017.
He is predeceased by his father: Nataniel Majil, brother: Jose Majil and grandparents: Teresa Majil, and Alberto & Valeria Cruz.
He is survived by his wife: Solangel Majil, son: Isaias Majil, daughter: Solangel Majil, mother: Odilia Majil, brothers: George and Aaron Majil, and grandfather: Lauriano Majil. He is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, fisheries family and friends.
A wake will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at the Family residence in the Hermelinda Layout, Corozal Town.
Funeral services will be held at the “Iglesia Catolica de San Francisco Xavier”, Corozal District, on Friday 20 January 2017 at 2:00pm.
Interment follows at the Altamira Cemetery and a repass will immediately be held at the Majil’s residence.
Isaias will be deeply missed, leaving behind now only those fond memories we have of him. This is truly a great loss to our organization, the fisheries sector and to the community on a whole. He will be greatly missed by everyone whose lives he touched.
