By BBN Staff: According to police reports, yesterday at 1:30 a.m., Corozal police were conducting a mobile patrol in the Skeleton Town area in Corozal when their attention was drawn to 18-year-old Jair Tamai AKA “Totolosh” of a 2nd Street North address who threw away an object resembling a firearm as well as a cap in a drain and made good his escape.
Police then retrieved the object which turned out to be a grey with black plastic handle .38 special, brand F&J model 102 with serial # 04663E containing (2) Aguila .38 Special live rounds and one expended shell and a black cap with markings “WAKE ‘N BAKE”.
On Sunday at 8:39 a.m., Tamai was arrested and charged for the offence of “keeping firearm and ammunition without a gun license”.
