Almost 1,000 grams of weed found in San Ignacio and Santa Elena towns

By BBN Staff: According to police reports, on Tuesday, January 31 at about 11:00 a.m., San Ignacio Quick Response Team and the K-9 Unit conducted a joint anti-drug operation within San Ignacio where officers conducted a search on an empty lot in the Shawville area which led to the discovery of a red plastic bag containing 362 grams of cannabis.

Later, around 3:30 p.m. officers searched an abandoned lot in the Hot Point area, Santa Elena which led to the discovery of a black plastic bag containing 560 grams of cannabis.

Both parcels were labelled as “found property”.
