By BBN Staff: On Friday police recovered a gun, ammunition and drugs in two separate searches.

The first search occurred at 3:30 p.m., when police conducted a search under a bridge located on McKay Boulevard, Belize City.

Cops discovered a chrome and black Remington 870 Magnum 12 gauge shotgun with serial number V57056V.

A further search of that area led to the discovery of a black plastic bag containing 5 bronze S and B brand .9 mm rounds of ammunition.

No one was in the area at the time of the search and the items were deposited as “found property”.

In another search conducted earlier around midday, police searched an abandoned cement structure in Pinks Alley, Belize City, which led to the discovery of two black plastic bags containing 90 grams of cannabis and 11 rounds of live .9 mm ammunition respectively.

The items were deposited as “found property”.
