By BBN Staff: According to Times Union Newsletter, a New York based newspaper, the answer to their refugee problem may be Belize.

An article featured in the newsletter written by Donna McMullen says that: “Regarding the refugees who poured into Europe, and it seems that letting thousands of people camp out on Paris streets or along the train tracks did not make anyone’s lives better – not for residents or refugees.”

But there are ways to fix it – and perhaps the answer is Belize! I saw advertisements asking people to come and buy land in Belize. Commercials claim it is the next Hawaii and buyers should get in while the price is affordable. This could be an amazing new start for thousands of families who are looking to relocate temporarily or permanently from the war zones of the middle east,” she said.

The article describes Belize as being a tropical oasis and a fresh start for all of the people feeling lost and homeless.

It also suggests a “Go Fund Me” page to collect money from anyone who wants to help their refugee situation.

“It would allow people to put their money where their mouths are and buy land for the masses of refugees. There are surely jobs and plenty of space for people to prosper on the beautiful resort island. Plus, the surge of new people would create a larger job market in Belize due to the necessity to meet the new needs of the incoming residents,” it further explains.

In the article, they refer to the protection of their countries by “easing” themselves of homeless refugees and criminal activity in their streets.

The article also explains why it would be a win-win situation for the U.S. and Europe but no mention of why it would benefit Belize.

“President Trump  could keep his promise to do his job and keep America safe while individuals who WANT to help can. It will not force every American citizen to essentially adopt the refugees and contribute via tax support. Instead it would be on a volunteer basis though monetary donations from those who want to. Countries could donate to help too. I’m sure Europe would kick in some dollars to clear their streets of the current, miserable situation such as the above scenes from Paris, France,” the article ends.

Forget about jobs- where there’s a will there’s a way.
Will they be able to peacefully blend in as a community? Have you ever seen victims of years of abuse get over problems easily-sometimes they continue passing it on to others. My Belize in bad shape but will get worse quicker. We will then be blacklisted for more than just banking practices.

This articule is a poor example of decent journalism. Come on guys, you can do better. The author referrenced is not anyone of any credibility on the subject and is merely a bored housewife who had a poorly thought out idea that she shared. That’s it. There is no exodus coming people, simply fear mongering to sell papers.

The countries that cause the problem of the Arab Springs need to go back with force take the weapons that they sold back. Clear the land and roads and allow them to go back to their homeland. People need to know that the American Dream has turned into an American nightmare that why there’s civil unrest. The U.S. has reported TRUMPED UP employment recording throughout the entire Obama administration unemployment im the U.S is as high a 10-15% depending on edication age and ethnicity. It is an illusion that this the lamd opportunity. I welcome them to suffer along with the rest of the unemployment or underemployed, perhaps the could be had as slaves because if they work for anything less than the current U.S. workers thats just what they would be. From my understanding Belize already has it’s on high unemployment issues as it doesn’t issue work Visas
    End of story.

DO YOU EXPECT PEOPLE THAT NO ONE WANTS WILL BE ABLE TO CREATE A SUSTAINABLE GOVERNMENT AND ECONOMY? NOT.
THEY ARE BETTER OFF IN THERE OWN COUNTRIES WHERE THEY CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE THERE. THE EDUCATED,DRS., ATTORNEYS AND THOSE WITH SKILLS ARE BAILING OUT WHEN THOSE ARE THE ONLY PEOPLE WHO WILL BE ABLE TO CHANGE THE ISSUES OF THOSE COUNTRIES. THE PEOPLE WHO BUILT BELIZE AND THE USA PAID A HUGE PRICE BOTH FINANCIALLY AND WITH THERE LIVES. WHY DO PEOPLE EXPECT THESE PEOPLE TO BE GIVEN EVERYTHING ON A PLATTER? IT’S NOT EASY BUT THEN WHAT IS?

For every family that that settles, government should require and equal contribution to a needy Belizean family.
Also one billion into Belize central bank and all government outstanding debt forgiven. Only then should it be considered.
