Another man murdered in Belize City

By BBN Staff: Another man was shot dead almost an hour ago just a stone’s throw from his home. The incident occurred in the Western Avenue area of Lake Independence in Belize City.

The victim was rushed to the Karl Huesner Memorial Hospital (KHMH) where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Family members present at the KHMH confirmed that the victim is 21 year old Jason Cortez.

Early indications are that this latest incident is a result of gang violence. Police are investigating.
