Twin towns plan welcome-home motorcade for Miss Belize Universe

By BBN Staff: Miss Belize Universe, Rebecca Rath represented Belize at the 65th edition of Miss Universe in Manila, Philippines on January 29, 2017.

Rath unified Belizeans at home, abroad and on social media, which  was loaded with showing their unwavering support for “Bex”, as she has affectionately come to be known, throughout the pageant.

Belizeans also requested that Belize gives her a royal welcome for making the country proud and representing it to the best of her ability on an international platform.

During the competition, Rath was featured on many international news-sites and brought spotlight to Belize with her charming personality, beauty and intelligence.

Bex arrived in Belize on Friday, February 11 where she was greeted with a motorcade and a press briefing at the Bliss Center.

Dangriga came out in full force to welcome Bex home with a beautiful parade and dance.

A motorcade to thank Miss Belize Universe, is now being planned in the twin towns of San Ignacio and Santa Elena. Bex will be meeting students at Sacred Heart College at 2:00 p.m. on February 21.

A motorcade will commence at 4:00 p.m. and will leave from in front of Sacred Heart College. The organizers of the event, the Dangriga Committee and Soly Moreno are encouraging Belizeans to come out to support and bring out the children to be motivated by a positive role model.

The parade route is down Joseph Andrew’s drive through to San Ignacio market, Hudson street then over the Hawksworth bridge to George Price Highway (Santa Elena) to Carillo Puerto avenue then unto  George Price Avenue cross the wooden bridge and will end at the Cayo Welcome Center for a ceremony.
