Over $1,600 stolen from Centaurs Communication LTD in Burrell Boom

By BBN Staff:Yesterday morning around 8:05, police responded to  a robbery at Centaurs Communication Corp. Ltd. office in  Burrell Boom Village, Belize District where they met the 37-year-old cashier  who reported that sometime about 7:30 p.m., while she was at work, a slim built, male person of  dark complexion, about 5′ 8″ in height, with a scar on the left side of his face, wearing a plain red warm cap, a red plain t-shirt, and a 3/4 black Dickies pants walked into the office and took out a black object which appeared to be a 9 mm pistol, and pointed it at her, demanding money and her gold earrings.

Fearing for her life, she handed over $1,602.00 which was in a metal cash box along with her gold earrings valued at $280.00, all to a total of $1,882.00.

The culprit then exited the office and made good his escape.

Police are investigating.
