Mario Aguirre wanted for murder in Orange Walk

By BBN Staff: According to police reports, on Saturday, February 25 at 8:50 p.m., Orange Walk Police got information of a stabbing incident.

When they visited the Northern Regional Hospital, they saw Marcelino Chan, 54, of San Roman Village, Orange Walk District with cut wound to the left side of both ears and on the left side of his chest area.

Police investigation reveals that sometime around 8:30 p.m., he was socializing at a friend’s house and decided to leave.

While he was walking on a street in the village he was attacked from behind allegedly by Mario Aguirre with a knife.

He was transported to the hospital and was pronounced dead on arrival at 8:40 p.m.

Police are now looking for Mario Aguirre, 25, of San Roman Village for the murder of Marcelino Chan.
