By BBN Staff:The Senate hearing continues today with Immigration officer, Mark Tench, appearing as a witness.

Readers will recall that eight (8) visa stickers were stolen from the western border in 2012.The stickers were then allegedly sold to Former Belize City Deputy Mayor, Eric Chang, and the Council’s Financial Controller, Patrick Tillett.

According to Tench, Chang and Tillett met with him at the Calypso restaurant in Belize City to check if the stickers were valid. Tench further alleged that the men admitted to paying $5,000 each or a total of $40,000 for the eight (8) visas.
