Police bust gun, ammo and weed in Orange Walk

By BBN Staff:According to police reports, on Monday, February 27, about 4:00 p.m., a team of police officers from the  Anti-Narcotics Unit were about to conduct a house search at #7 Unity Street Orange Walk, the residence of Jorge Leiva when they saw a male and female were running towards the back door.

Police observed that both persons had something on their hands.

They were apprehended and identified as Jorge Enrique Levia, 57, who had in his possession a bag that contained an AR 15 rifle Caliber .223 and Larissa Karel Zetina, 24,   who had in her possession (30) rounds magazines, one had (27) live .223 rounds of ammunition in it, the other three were empty.

The house was then searched and police found 205.3 grams of cannabis, (49) .223 rounds of ammunition and (50) 7.62 live rounds of ammunition and a black rifle scope.

Both Leiva and Zetina were arrested and charged.
