Prime Minister Dean Barrow celebrates 66th birthday today

By BBN Staff:Prime Minister, Dean Barrow, is today celebrating his 66th birthday.

When Barrow completed his law degree, he began his career in the law firm of Dean Lindo (his uncle) in 1973.

He became Lindo’s legal partner in 1977. However, Barrow would eventually leave to form his own law firm, Barrow and Williams (with Rodwell Williams).

In 1983 Barrow entered electoral politics as a candidate for Belize City Council elections, which he won. He ran for the Collet constituency but after re-districting, he was sent to the Queen Square constituency.

Barrow was later selected as the UDP’s leader after the 1998 General Elections loss of his party, and since 2008 he currently serves as the nation’s Prime Minister.
