Teenager killed in Belize City last night; Shot 6 times

By BBN Staff:The streets of Southside Belize City recorded another murder last night.

Police received information of shots fired at 10:00 p.m. on Aloe Vera Street in the Lake Independence area. Upon arrival, police found a male person lying down motionless.

He has since been  identified as Everald Augustine, 17, an unemployed teenager of 74 Park Street in Belize City.

He received a total of 6 gunshots: three shots to the chest and three shots to the lower back.

He was pronounced dead at 10:09 p.m..

According to his family, they do not know why anyone would want him dead.
