By BBN Staff: A fatal traffic accident over the weekend in southern Belize claimed one life and sent two to the hospital.

According to news reports, around 3 p.m. on Saturday, BDF Lawrence Lorenzo, 43, was heading to Sittee River in his Toyota Rav4 when he collided into a motorcycle.

The driver of the motorcycle, Ernest Andrews Jr., 52, died as a result of the impact.

Rosalyn Logan, 25, and baby Eamon Andrews, 2, were also traveling with Andrews.

Logan and baby Eamon were taken to the hospital for treatment.

Lorenzo has been served with a notice of intended prosecution.
