San Ignacio Resort Hotel’s event coordinator to visit Buckingham Palace

By BBN Staff: Michelle Montejo, the event coordinator at the San Ignacio Resort Hotel has been elected as one of 9 individuals who will be hosted at the Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle in the United Kingdom.

Montejo has worked at the San Ignacio Resort Hotel for 4 years, and according to the hotel, she has excelled in creating breathtaking Belize luxury weddings and has hosted many corporate and recreational events.

Montejo is the only Belizean chosen for this scholarship.

She stated that this opportunity will improve her professional skills and personal development in ways that are unimaginable. “Not only will I be able to return to Belize with these new techniques, but I will be able to share my experiences and knowledge about our Jewel to the other scholars”, she said.

 In November of 2015, Prince Harry announced the initiation of the Royal Household Hospitality Scholarship.The scholarship is a 6 week program that gives professionals from the Caribbean realms the opportunity to work at the Master of the Household’s Department in preparation for Royal Ascot Week in the United Kingdom.
