Help coming for Belmopan police

By BBN Staff: Yesterday, Officer Commanding Belmopan Police, Sr. Supt. Howell Gillett hosted Israel Lucas Jimenez, Regional Security Officer for the European Union (EU) permanent office, Kingston Jamaica and Mads Korn, EU Programme Manager, Technical Support Office to Belize.

Jimenez’s office is responsible for Jamaica, Belize, the Bahamas, Turks and Caicos island, Cayman island, Guyana, Suriname and Barbados.

Gillett said that their main topic of discussion was citizen safety and security. “There’s help on the horizon for the Belmopan Police,” Gillett said in a statement.
