Hattieville man killed while relaxing on verandah

By BBN Staff:On Saturday night shortly before 9:00, police responded to reports of a shooting incident in Hattieville village, Belize.

Police visited Foster Drive where officers saw the body Michael Usher, 35, lying with gunshot wounds to the head and to the left side.

Initial investigations revealed that sometime around 8:45, Usher was outside of his house, sitting on the verandah when someone approached him and fired several shots causing his injuries.

Usher was transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Police are investigating.
