By BBN Staff: The burnt body of a female who was found near the Belmopan dump site on the Hummingbird Highway has been identified by her mother as 18 year old Keona Gabbi Ara from Blackman Eddy village in the Cayo District.
The tattoo that was released by the police was vital in assisting with the identification of the victim.
Ara departed from her mother’s home en route to visit friends in Teakettle village on Saturday morning and did not return home. Her body was found partially burnt and had multiple stab wounds, including a cut to the throat.
Police are investigating this latest incident as a case of murder.
