Inmate reportedly dies in prison

By BBN Staff:Reports reaching our newsroom indicate that a prisoner died at the Hattieville prison.

He has been identified as Matilde Ku, 62, who is originally from August Pine Ridge in Orange Walk.

According to police, the cause of death was cardio respiratory arrest.

He was pronounced dead at 3:30 p.m. yesterday by a doctor.

The deceased was convicted for cultivation of cannabis and keeping an unlicensed firearm.
