By BBN Staff: Brendal Gibson, Public Health Inspector at the San Ignacio Hospital has issued a release informing residents of San Ignacio and Santa Elena in the Cayo District that they will be conducting a “Rabies Vaccination Campaign” this month.
“Let us prevent rabies… Rabies is a disease that is transmitted by wild animals such as bats, foxes, and other raccoons…it can be transmitted to our pets. To prevent rabies vaccinate your dogs and cats. Vaccination is FREE, protect your pets! Bring cats and dogs 3 months and older to be vaccine against rabies,” Gibson said in a statement.
The vaccination in San Ignacio will be held on Saturday, March 18 from 10am to 3pm at the following places:
