Belizean shot and killed at popular bar in Melchor de Mencos

By BBN Staff:Confirmed reports reaching our newsroom indicate that a shooting occurred a short while ago at a popular bar at Champon in neighboring Melchor de Mencos, Guatemala.

Reports indicate that a Belizean tour operator from San Jose Succotz, Cayo, was shot multiple times inside the establishment in front of his wife.

According to police, the victim succumbed to his injuries. The bar is located just in front of the fumigating system before you enter Belize.

This is the second Belizean that has been killed in Guatemala in less than a week.
