By BBN Staff: Last week BBN reported that during Prime Minister Dean Barrow’s budget presentation, he mentioned that ministries and departments will seek to curtail costs.

For the fiscal year 2016-2017, GOB projected total expenditures to be $ 1,238,917,901.

The new budget for the fiscal year 2017-2018 projects the total expenditure at $1,180,103,128.

Government plans to cut spending by 5 percent this fiscal year compared to the last fiscal year.
