By BBN Staff: According to police reports, last night around 7:15, acting upon information received of a stabbing incident, police visited a clinic on Pasero Street in Caye Caulker.
Police observed a 17-year-old male of a Belize City address suffering from a stab wound to the left shoulder, right hand and abrasions to the head and right hand.
Investigations revealed that around 6:00 p.m., the minor was socializing at a bar when he got into a fight with Charles Robinson, 22, of San Pedro who inflicted the injuries upon him.
While police attempted to detain Robinson, he got into a boat and attempted to escape. However, in an effort to avoid being hit by the boat, police fired a single shot at the engine causing a hole in it. The engine is valued at $30,000. Robinson has been detained and police investigations continue.
