By BBN Staff: A group of 17 parents are camping out in front of St. Andrew’s Anglican School in San Ignacio town tonight ahead of registration day tomorrow.
The parents have been there from 4:00 a.m. today waiting to be the first in line to secure a space for their children at the primary school.
Registration for new students will be done in the morning.
The primary school usually secures spaces in Infant One classes for children who already have siblings attending the primary school.
The parents told BBN that there are only 17 spaces available for registration tomorrow and they will be served on a first come first serve basis. The parents brushed off critics saying they are only securing a space for their babies.
Every year, many parents line up at the Primary School to try and secure a place for their children at the widely regarded “best” primary school in San Ignacio.
However, this is the first time parents have decided to camp out to secure their spaces.
St. Andrew’s Anglican School has built a reputation for itself, consistently producing top students in the Primary School Examinations.
