6 dead since Friday, police silent

By BBN Staff: In less than 72 hours, six Belizeans have died in tragic circumstances.

The first fatality was that of female police officer, Jennifer Hibberd, attached to the Punta Gorda police station. She lost her life on Friday night in a traffic mishap in Elridgeville. Further details
surrounding her death are not yet known.

Also on Friday night at around 10:30, a businessman of Santa Cruz village in the Stann Creek District was beaten to death with a bat by a group of men who stopped him before he reached his home. According to reports the victim has been identified as Roberto DeLeon.
Early Saturday morning, two Belize City men were gunned down while riding their bicycles near Chon Saan restaurant on Kelly Street in Belize City.

They both died on the scene. They have since been identified as Byron Marshall and Nelson Noralez.

Hours later, in this same vicinity on Saturday afternoon two men would again be gunned down. However, one survived while the other was
be transported to the morgue.

The deceased has been identified as Randy Green while the survivor has been identified as Tyron Lamb.

On Saturday afternoon another fatal road traffic accident was reported in Corozal town. The victim has been identified as Max Sanker. He was reportedly knocked off his motorcycle by a Four Runner.

The last fatality occurred out west when a minor of Christo Rey village was stabbed in the chest by another man. The victim reportedly died on the scene.
Police have not issued a single release or statement on any of the deadly incidents.
