By BBN Staff:On Friday, at about 11:16 p.m. police responded to a road traffic accident in Cattle Landing village, Toledo on the Southern highway between miles 97 and 98 where cops saw a black Dodge Intrepid car in the middle of the highway with extensive damages to the front passenger side.
A red Honda SUV was seen in the nearby bush with extensive damages.
Beside the Honda was the body of WPC Jennifer Hibberd, 32, of Melendez Boulevard, Punta Gorda town. She was attached to the Punta Gorda police station.
Investigations reveal that around 10:50 p.m., Liston Armstrong Jr., the driver of the black Dodge car was traveling from Punta Gorda Town to his residence at mile 13 on the Southern highway and while taking the curve in Cattle Landing village, collided into the SUV being driven at the time by Hibberd.
Hibberd’s body was transported to the Punta Gorda Hospital where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
An notice of intended prosecution was served to Armstrong.
