By BBN Staff: PM Barrow will be attending the 16th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Tuxtla Mechanism for Dialogue and Coordination in Costa Rica.
The Tuxtla Mechanism is the main forum for political dialogue at the Meso-American level with objectives such as promoting high-level political dialogue, contributing to the strengthening of democratic processes in member countries, promoting economic development, and providing cooperation for the training of human resources and its consolidation.

Over the years, the Tuxtla Mechanism has focused its work on four themes: 1) political affairs; 2) economic, trade and financial affairs; 3) regional cooperation and 4) the Meso-American Project.

According to reports, the presidents of Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama and the Dominican Republic are confirmed to attend the summit including the Prime Minister of Belize.

The summit will be a great opportunity for PM Barrow to talk to the Guatemalan President about the Sarstoon protocol.
