By BBN Staff: Earlier this week a meeting of the National Executive of the United Democratic Party (UDP), was disrupted and ended a short while after it began.

Two factions of the UDP, at least one representing the John Saldivar camp, squared off in an incident that left one man injured.

Information to our newsroom is that Papa Mena, Dangriga’s Area Representative, began complaining about Mayor Francis Humphreys and his brother known as Boss P who is the Chairman of the Dangriga committee.

Mena’s comments led to a brawl which allegedly caused one man to be hit in the head with a chair. The injured person was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The entire incident allegedly occurred in front of Deputy Party Leader, Patrick Faber. Fortunately he was evacuated without injury.

UDP party whips remain tight-lipped about the incident as it is considered a major black eye for the ruling party. Dangriga police have since confirmed this incident to our newsroom.
