Man murdered at bar in Melchor, Guatemala

By BBN Staff: Reports reaching to our newsroom are that a Guatemalan national was shot and killed at a bar in Melchor de Mencos, Guatemala last night.

The bar is a popular hangout spot for Belizeans.

The victim has been identified as Bryan Corado.

Corado was serving time at the Hattieville prison in Belize when he was charged and remanded in May last year.

Corado held up a Senior police officer at gunpoint on February 14, 2016 and stole his Mazda pickup truck in Benque Viejo Town, Cayo District.

A source confirmed to BBN that Corado was recently released from prison.
