By BBN Staff: Effective April 1st, the retail price of a small glass bottled soft drink is $1.50. If you take in (or exchange) a pint when you purchase the price will be $1.25.

The price of a large glass bottled soft drink is now $1.75 and if you take in (or exchange) a pint when you purchase it will be $1.50.

The price of plastic bottled soft drinks is now $2.25 each.

The retail price of stout and beer also increased by 25 cents and are now retailing for at least $3.00.

These price increases are a direct result of Government increasing the excise tax on carbonated and alcoholic beverages, cement and fuel in an attempt to raise 0.77% of GDP (or 26 million dollars) in additional revenues for the 2017-2018 fiscal year.
