Major crimes down in Belmopan by 40% says Superintendent Gillett

By BBN Staff: Officer commanding Belmopan Police, Sr. Supt. Howell Gillett said in a statement today that major crimes in Belmopan decreased by 40% for period – January to March when compared to the same period last year.

“Thanks to you, the community for your active involvement in policing and to all the officers who worked tirelessly to keep our communities safe,” Gillett said.

According to Gillett, the police will continue to do what they are doing and use new initiatives to further reduce crime in Belmopan.
