A police vehicle caught on video contrabanding beers in northern Belize

Posted: Thursday, April 6, 2017. 9:28 a.m. CST.

By BBN Staff: With an increase in the costs of local beer, men and women of the police department have turned to the Mexican border for a cheaper “contraband high.”

We have obtained copies of a 35 second video footage of persons believed to be police officers, smuggling the contraband from Botes, Mexico, into the pan of a waiting police mobile.

Orange Walk Customs simply looked on as the presumed cops made off with their contraband.

The footage has since been widely circulated on social media but according to Commissioner of Police, Allen Whylie, he has never seen it.
