By BBN Staff:  The Government of Belize has announced that it will gift a million dollars to teachers who did not strike last year.

The Belize National Teacher’s Union (BNTU), the Christian Workers union  (CWU), the Belize Chamber of Commerce and Industry as well as the Opposition have all criticized this move as an act of union busting.

However, the BNTU is not simply criticizing, it is preparing for affirmative action.

We are told that the BNTU is currently meeting today to determine what action will be taken against the government.

We will be updating our readers on this story as more information is made available to us.
