Early morning stabbing in Caye Caulker

By BBN Staff: According to police reports, this morning around 2, while police were on patrol on Louisiano Reyes Street in Caye Caulker, they got information of a fight in front of the police barracks.

Police responded and met Megan Holland, 20, “making a lot of noise”.

Holland reported that she had a misunderstanding with one of her cousins. Police then encouraged her to visit the station to make a report, but she refused and went home.

At the time, police did not observe any injuries on her and she did not complain of any.

A few minutes later, police received information that Megan collapsed at her home.

She was rushed to the Caye Caulker Health Clinic where police and medical authorities observed a stab wound in the middle of her chest.

Arrangements are currently being made to transport her to the KHMH today.
