Ladyville Police gets new vehicle

By BBN Staff:  The Ladyville Police yesterday received a generous donation from the law firm of Courtenay and Coye.

The vehicle valued at $28,000 was handed over at the Ladyville Police station today.

Chris Coye said that the donation is to assist the police to respond quicker to calls since there has been an increase in burglaries in neighboring areas.

Coye also said that he hopes that their community now see a downward trend in robberies and burglaries in the community.

Assistant Commissioner of Police, Edward Broaster thanked the law firm for the donation and assured them that the vehicle will be used for the efficient service of the police to the communities.

Broaster also assured the public that the vehicle will not be used for hauling contraband items.
