By BBN Staff:  On Monday, April 10, 54 students graduated from the Gang Resistance Education and Training program (GREAT).

Officer Commanding Belmopan Police, Sr. Supt. Howell Gillett said in a statement that the students are now immunized against bullying and negative peer pressure.

“They will now be better able to manage conflicts, refuse gang involvement, make better decisions, practice anger management, use effective refusal skills and better able to identify the emotional state of others, ” Gillett stated.

The students participated in a ten week training program for GREAT.

Gillett extended gratitude for officers Shal and Coc for their dedication to the program and the staff and administration of the Cotton Tree Roman Catholic School.
